Hey there. I’m Beth and I help adults meet their goals for creating vibrant lives in line with their values and desires. Coaching is a powerful tool for bringing goals and dreams to life through discernment, actionable & incremental steps, and support. As a coach, I partner with you to create a vision for where you want to go and a plan to get there. We set goals and benchmarks so we can track progress, and make adjustments where necessary. Many people find it invaluable to have the accountability of coaching sessions to make consistent, steady progress towards their goals.

Coaching vs. therapy

Coaching and therapy are separate processes. Coaching is a short-term, time-limited process focusing on actionable work in the here and now. Treatment for mental illnesses and diagnoses, such as anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder, happens through psychotherapy. Although both coaching and psychotherapy use knowledge of human behavior, motivation, behavioral change and interactive counseling techniques, there are differences in the goals, focus and level of professional responsibility. I do not combine psychotherapy with coaching so if you are unsure about which service you are looking for, let’s have a conversation about it so you can make the choice that serves your needs best.

Coaching can be effectively facilitated virtually, making it possible for me to serve clients throughout the Maryland, D.C., Virginia area and beyond. In-person appointments are available in College Park, Maryland on a limited basis. Please note that psychotherapy services are only available in Maryland, whether in-person or virtual, and are not combined with coaching.
