When was the last time you felt REALLY good and free in your body? Has it been months, years, or decades? Sometimes you simply notice you are numbing out and powering through. On other days, you are going from 0-60 and realize you've not eaten in hours, and your body has been screaming at you for attention.

It wasn’t always like this. As a kid, you can remember doing things just for the way they made your body feel alive and free–swinging so high on the swings that the chain slackens for a second and then drops, spinning around in wild circles with friends, laughing and shrieking with the speed and dizziness. It feels like a million years ago.

Or perhaps you never had that at all because your body wasn’t always a safe place to be, but you know that your body has been trying to communicate with you (it whispers, hints, cajoles, screams and shouts through discomfort and pain and numbness). Ready to lean in and listen?

I’m Beth and I help adults find their way back to being more fully present in their bodies, minds, and lives. We could talk about this for hours and hours, but there is no substitute for how powerful it is for you to really experience these things for yourself, in your own body and mind. Clients who have done this work with me often tell me that they are shocked at how much wisdom they find within, that had been buried or frozen for years. They tenderly hold the parts of them that have needed care and often find a wellspring of vibrant joy and grounded peace.

Together we will explore tools for dialoging with your body and mindfulness practices to help you be more fully present in the moment. Don’t worry if you think you can’t meditate or “clear your mind”! It’s all about paying attention and you’ve made it this far in life so you definitely have some skills in paying attention. We can work with that! The mind and the body are forever linked so we also have a variety of tools and options for bringing in awareness and movement for the body.

For more than 20 years, I’ve brought practices of mindfulness, meditation, yoga therapy, qi gong and JourneyDance to groups and individuals longing to find more peace, mind-body integration and vitality here and now.
