Support Resources I Know, Like & Trust In Maryland

Growth & healing can be supported by a wide variety of practices and professionals.

The path towards growth and healing can have lots of twists, turns and variations for each person. There are so many ways to access additional support and guidance. Many of my clients have been interested in finding options for these supports at times and have asked for any suggestions that I might have. I’m happy to share with you some of these options, in case your own path draws you towards these possibilities.

Places & Groups

  1. Insight Meditation Community of Washington— This community offers meditation classes, groups, retreats and support throughout the whole DC, Maryland, Virginia area with wonderful, experienced teachers.

  2. Willow Street Yoga Center—Takoma Park yoga studio offering in-person and hybrid/online yoga classes, workshops and more. I love leading JourneyDance classes there throughout the year.

  3. Washington Women Outdoors—It can be hard to make new friends as an adult. This group for adult women in the DMV area organizes a variety of outdoor activities where you can show up on your own and meet a whole group of people with similar interests, and feel safe & supported in trying new things.

  4. Brookside Gardens—Time in nature is good for our physical and mental health. This lovely spot in Montgomery County has walking paths that are beautiful all year round, and even offers signs along the way to encourage a mindful experience of being there by tuning into your senses.
